Living in a new build

 Hello! It has been a while again since I last blogged, but life has got in the way. I wanted to talk about what it is like living in a new build. 
We got our keys on the 9th of December, and the next day got a snagger in to write us up a snagging report. This came in really handy as a lot of stuff that he flagged up we wouldn't of known. 
Then the sofa, fridge, washer dryer all arrived on the same day. Over the weekend and the following Monday, the flooring was fitted. We went for grey carpets in the end as more durable with Edith, grey laminate throughout the downstairs and jazzy lino flooring in the bathroom and WC.

Our bed then arrived, we went for one from habitat x argos, and a new Emma mattress (it's sooooo comfy!). We then had our first night sleeping here. The next day we started to add our bits and bobs around, like teacups, kettle / toaster, cannisters etc.

As you can see, it is a lovely kitchen diner space, and was great for having family around on Christmas Day! 

Below is a few more photos of our house, it's taken a few weeks of being non stop to get where we are but we are finally happy with what we have got. A few more bits of decorating and mirrors to hang up but we are nearly there. Not sure what we will do next once this is done... a wedding?! Who knows ;)
